Gassim recently participated in the Africa Hospitality Investment Forum – AHIF), now rebranded as Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) Africa, held at The Westin in Cape Town, South Africa, from June 17 to 19, 2025. Edun Olaniyi, Director for English-speaking countries in Africa, represented Gassim at the prestigious event.
The FHS Africa conference brought together key stakeholders from the hospitality industry, including major companies such as Accor, Hilton, Radisson, Marriott, IHG, Westmont…. The event connected investors, developers, and operators to foster deals and drive investment into tourism and hotel infrastructure in Africa.
Key themes discussed at the conference included sustainable investment, cross-border collaboration, and the role of technology in African hospitality. Some of the key topics explored were Investment Hotspots & the Future of Hospitality Expansion in Africa, Preserving Africa’s Biodiversity: Hospitality’s Role in Conservation Tourism, and Africa’s Vision: How Government Strategies Are Shaping the Future of Hospitality.
Gassim leveraged the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, share knowledge on project management trends, and showcase recent project wins and references. By attending FHS Africa, Gassim demonstrated its commitment to staying at the forefront of hospitality investment and development in Africa.
